New Ram Trucks are Available at Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Farmington Hills

There are a few things you can count on with a Ram truck: power, toughness, and capability come to mind. But while these rugged pickups have much in common, they are not all the same.

If you're thinking about buying a new Ram truck soon, it's good to consider the models available. Each new truck model has its own list of features, strengths, and attributes. You'll want to pick the truck that lines up best with your capability needs.

Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 is the brand's popular full-size or half-ton pickup. It's the smallest of the three available, but it offers big numbers and impressive capability. Redesigned for 2019, the new Ram 1500 now offers an available 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with eTorque Light Hybrid System. This unique powertrain allows the Ram 1500 to tow up to 12,750 pounds or 2,300 pounds of payload. It's a truck that's popular across America for its sheer versatility.

Ram 2500

If you're looking for a bit more power and capability, the Ram 2500 is worth considering. It uses a longer wheelbase and more robust frame than the Ram 1500. The Ram 2500 also offers larger, more powerful engines, including the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 and the 6.7-liter turbo diesel Cummins engine. With proper equipment, the Ram 2500 can haul 4,050 pounds of payload or tow up to 19,780 pounds.

Ram 3500

The Ram 3500 is the toughest, most powerful model in the lineup. Its newly re-tuned High Output 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine is the first in the segment to produce 1,000 pound-feet of torque. With that engine in a dual-rear wheel truck, you'll be able to tow a whopping 35,100 pounds.
